YOUR GUIDE

Jeremy Fusco
Fusco was born in Arlington, Texas where he spent most of his formative years as a devotee to punk rock, playing drums, movies, and camping.

Fusco found himself graduating high school, obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout, and entering Basic Military Training for the U.S. Air Force within the same week. At almost 12 years in service, he was medically retired from the Air Force and found himself having to come to terms with loss of identity and changes to future plans. Determined to continue service to others, Fusco pursued Social Work through the University of Southern California where he obtained his Master’s in Social Work with a Concentration in Mental Health and Sub-Concentration in Military and Veterans Services.

His focus in Social Work is clinical services providing mental health counseling and innovative solutions. Currently, Fusco works as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with clients to address needs including Moral Injury, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Adjustment, Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Dynamics, and more in an outpatient counseling setting at his private practice, Mind Above, located in the iconic Trammell Crow Center in the Arts District of Downtown Dallas, TX.

He has provided Crisis Response in downtown Dallas, Texas after the July 7, 2016 shootings as well as response to Hurricane Harvey victims in/around Crosby, Texas and Hurricane Michael in/around Panama City and Mexico Beach, Florida. Continuing his love to advocate, Fusco provides services that encourage self-reliance and empowerment for each client. Fusco is an ally to the LGBTQ+ Community and has worked to establish awareness and services. Fusco also provides services to justice-involved populations to include Veterans Treatment Court, pre-trial status, and incarcerated. He has provided continuing education to clinicians on best practices, responsivity, and approaches to care.

In addition to being the Owner/Founder/Therapist of Mind Above, Fusco serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Set|Ready a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Set|Ready provides support to Military, Veterans, and Military Spouses transitioning to the civilian workforce to deliver “the how-to from those who do.” He is an active alumni board member of the National Association of Social Workers - University of Southern California (NASW-USC) Unit providing support to include mentoring, networking, and technology integration.

Fusco is a proponent of perpetual learning and exploration across the lifespan. He brings a penchant for public speaking, a panache for networking, and razzmatazz in the ideas and vision department. He loves the outdoors, BBQ, history, building furniture, and turning wrenches on things.
