We've been busy. For the first quarter of the year, our heads were down and sleeves rolled up—getting our pilot production line humming at our new manufacturing facility and bringing early adopters on board to launch the world’s first PVA-free pods. Why does that matter? Because convenience shouldn’t come with hidden plastics. Dissolvable products today use PVA (polyvinyl alcohol)—a petroleum-derived polymer that doesn’t fully biodegrade and leaves behind microplastics in our water systems. At DisSolves, we make 100% plastic-free, water-soluble films that are safe enough to eat (yes, really). And now, we’re proving that scalable, PVA-free solutions do exist—with the first production run rolling out of our North Carolina facility and into the hands of partners who believe the future of clean starts with what we leave behind. We're moving to Franklin County, North Carolina! We’re thrilled to announce that Youngsville will be home to our first in-house manufacturing facility. This milestone represents a huge leap forward in our journey to scale edible podding film and deliver on our mission to remove plastic waste from the packaging equation. After closing a successful seed funding round with Big Idea Ventures Generation Food Rural Partners, we're gearing up to open our pilot facility in early 2025 and are signing on corporate partners to collaborate on our edible, dissolving films and pods. As demand for all-natural packaging materials surges, we're ready to disrupt the $4.8B podding market, currently dominated by PVA—a petroleum-derived plastic that indirectly releases plastic pollution into our water systems.
