Welcome back to Brunch with Desb! Today I am thrilled to be joined by my sister, Michaela, who is officially one year postpartum! Not only will Michaela be sharing her thoughts on the Last of Us finale, but we’ll also share some funny stories from our childhood that explains our love-hate relationship with horror.
Besides this, we’ll be chatting all about motherhood. Michaela and I are both moms and, if I’m being honest, I wish I had supported her more when she had her first child so we are going to talk a bit about what you can do to help your friends, sisters, or other family members who may have just given birth, as well as share some of our tips for new moms. We’ll also talk about some feelings we experienced as new moms including resentment and the struggle to relinquish the idea of perfection. Last but not least, we’ll touch on topics like night feeding, conceiving baby number two, birthing positions, whether we want more kids, rekindling your relationship after having kids, and much more.
We’re here to remind you that motherhood is extremely hard and it’s okay to advocate for yourself, it’s okay to honor where you’re at day to day, and it’s okay to ask for help.
