Arrested. Wrongfully accused. Sentenced to ten years.
But the steel bars release me early.

After serving half of my time for a crime I didn’t commit, they grant me parole—with a very short leash. My second chance at freedom begins now, and I won’t waste it. I should’ve been paying more attention.

Ambushed. Captured. Stranded.
When I wake in the depths of a snowy forest, all seems lost. I’ve been left alone in the wilderness with zero means of escape. Until someone rouses beside me.

I recognize Blakely Cross instantly, yet she’s barely more than a stranger. Now she’s stuck with me in the worst possible place, as collateral damage.

Blakely blames me, and rightfully so. This entire situation is my fault. Our destinies are inadvertently twisted together by forces far larger than us. Whether she hates me or not, we need each other to stay alive.

Cope. Adapt. Persevere.
They tossed us out to be buried, but underestimated our determination. The bond we’re building will overcome the harshest conditions.
And we’re not willing to surrender.

It’s official. I have a new favorite Harloe Rae book boyfriend!! I just finished and I miss them already! Halder is straight up swoontastic. They way he cares for and looks after his girl, warmed my heart. This story was completely unexpected in the best possible way and I’m super duper in love with these two.

I went into this one completely blind and it was the best treat of my week!! Left For Wild exceeded my expectations and left me longing for more of this amazing couple.

Here’s what I loved:

LFW is adventurous, exciting, sexy and totally swoontastic! This couple is delish!! I loved how they cared for and trusted in each other. Total perfection!

Halder’s backstory got me in the feels. I wanted more for him immediately after meeting him, but after really eating to know his character I fell hard! He’s so sweet. So yummy. And completely in love with his girl. A perfect BBF!

Blakely in turn is funny, vibrant, and loves with her whole heart. Completely made for Halder! She’s like a balm for him. I loved watching these two flirt, banter, and fall in love!

I think this is the first time setting has come up in my list of loves. lol But the setting is such an integral part of the story that it almost acts as another character.

A refreshingly unique love story with heat and romance in the most unlikely of circumstances. You are going to love it! The swoon factor is real!!!

This couple captured my heart. A man who should be bitter and resentful, but still manages to be optimistic and willing to open his heart. A young woman who sees the good in all people and believes in second chances. Two halves of a whole who come together in the wild.

I took my time reading this story because I did not want it to end. Halder and Blakely were ripped from their lives and thrust into the wild with little means to survive. This is when you find out what you are made of. They had to find a way to stay alive, as well as a way home.

I won't tell you their story, but I will tell you that this is a story of survival and love. It's not your typical romance because nothing about their love story is traditional. Yet it's a slow burn with the happiest of endings. It was so easy to fall in love with them and their journey. Another great read by an author who always delivers great characters and a forever love you won't forget.

The perfect adventure romance!

Halder and Blakely hit me right in the feels! I love romance stories where the couple face an adventure, good or bad, together. And this one was quite a unique adventure.

After serving 5 years for crimes he didn’t commit, Halder finds himself left in the frozen wilderness with limited supplies and a surprise companion, Blakely. While the two had seen each other in passing occasionally over the past two years, they had never met. And now they had to rely on each other to survive and get back home.

Halder is full of so much swoon I can barely stand it! So protective, so possessive, so alpha male awesomeness! And Blakely is so sassy and adorkable! I love the chemistry between the two! I really enjoyed this feel- good, happily ever after, all the feels romance from Harloe Rae!

I’ve been gravitating towards books similar to this recently. I just love anything to do with the wilderness.

One couple thrown together in the wilderness left for dead, no one knows where they are, they only have each other to lean on, a battle against the elements as they try and survive as best as they can with the barest of supplies left at their disposal. No food to sustain them, no rescue in sight.

Ok, I am just going to say it. I couldn't stop reading this book. And while being held hostage (see how I did that, tee hee), I was plotting how this needed to be made into a movie. All kinds of stoic, strong actors, male and female, all ethnicities, who had that special something that translates across the screen...that feeling of nothing would knock them back, they would persevere.

Yup, that was exactly what was in my head while I read.
This had two characters who were equals from the start in the majority of the story. They may have come from very different places of "power" but each was willing to be their true selves and this made everything so good.

What really worked was how we were there with our characters and had to experience all of it while they did. We had their fear, their successes, and their attraction for each other.

Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner...Go in blind, enjoy this and then beg for it to be made into a film.

4.5 Stars!

Loved this one and LOVED Halder! This was such a sweet and enjoyable coffee shop read for me (my fave type). It was a great story to escape into while life is being so crazy right now, and it let me just slow down and enjoy the moment. I swear Harloe's books just get better and better everytime too.

I've been in such an odd mood lately where no book has been doing it for me, so I got just a little too excited after this little gem hit my kindle, especially because I know I can never go wrong with Harloe. After months of her killing us with those teasers, I just knew this book was going to be amazing and I was so right!

I loved everything about this book and couple. The chemistry, the banter, the sweet and tender moments were all so perfect! I loved how caring and infatuated Halder was of Blakely. I couldn't stop smiling whenever he would think about her or show how loyal he was to her. Though I love asshole heros as much as the next person, they are just so common nowadays so it's always nice to read and fall in love with one who is ACTUALLY hubby material. I can literally go on and on about Halder and how amazing he was!

Overall, an enjoyable, safe, less angsty, and sweet read with a bit of suspense. The only reason for the half star was due to the end being just a bit anti-climatic for me, and I wish some things could have been cleared up a bit more on screen with maybe some confrontations. Besides that though, I still definitely recommend this, and I CANNOT wait for more works by Harloe❤

The romance story with surviving on a wilderness always peaks my interest. Left for Wild sadly falls below my expectation.

Surviving plot line... check
Wilderness...... check
Adventour........check
Romance.........check

What is missing is the sizzling connection between the characters. Miss Rae falls short on giving this romance a kick on chemistry department. Through out the book I only feel luke warm connection between the characters. Their banter is polite and distance.

The last twist at the end of the book is predictable. Overall Left for Wild is OK read.

Epic! I’m confident enough in this book to say that it is, and will continue to be, my top read of 2020. Harloe Rae is the best at what she does. These characters were everything I didn’t know I needed. The chemistry they had from a single glance. There will be more to come from my review, just wanted to say that y’all need to HYPE IT UP for Left For Wild.

A unique, captivating adventure. Filled with unsuspecting thrills and the right amount of heat.

I love the remote and isolated setting Halder and Blakely find themselves in. It adds to the draw of the story for me. It made me fall into utter admiration for the characters. It's one of the reasons I kept flipping the pages. I had to know what was coming next. It kept the story fresh. Kept it captivating. Kept me enthralled.

Left for Wild is one adventure not to be missed.

COULD THIS ABSURD MESS BE ANY WORSE?

“Halder Rane has been my slice of forbidden over the last few years.”

[DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW WAS PAINFUL TO WRITE, BUT NECESSARY. IT’S LONG BECAUSE OF A LIST OF QUOTES.]

This book probably wasn’t the best example for a first read by this author. Her books seem to be very popular, but this book was a hunka strange … and I tried. I really, really tried. Take the most implausible scenario and strand the most unlikely pair of characters together for inexplicable reasons in a fight for survival in the mountains as they lust after each other, and that’s the premise of this book. Forget suspension of disbelief. I had to discard all belief to swallow what happens.

Halder Rane is a hunky, prison inmate who’s actually a framed program developer, and winds up suddenly released on parole in a bit of a mystery. He wants to clear his name, but immediately ends up drugged, kidnapped and dropped unconscious in the snowy mountains along with Blakely -- the prison’s gorgeous social worker that he’s been silently lusting after in the slammer. They’re stranded without supplies, food, or any idea of their location in the midst of life threatening dangers, a blizzard, freezing temps and no idea which direction to go on foot. The conflict is that Halder knows why he was set up and framed and who did it, but not why he and Blakely are kidnapped together to be left to die in uncharted territory far north.

Normally, I’d eat up this scenario for breakfast, lunch and dinner and beg for more. I love the excitement of love, danger, and adventure in the wild. But, not only is the writing as bad as it gets – SERIOUSLY – but nothing that happens makes any sense. She’s the whiniest brat (I would have left her behind) when they need to be a team focused on survival. In fact, from the conversations and her behavior, you’d never know the seriousness of their dire situation. All they do is flatter each other and flirt like lovesick adolescents out on a day-hike date . I lost it when they rip off their clothes to have sex in a raging blizzard (out in the open, not a shelter), after surviving a deadly encounter with a bear. Guess adrenaline really kick-starts sex hormones. And whatever they need just materializes.

[WARNING: HEAVY SARCASM AHEAD]
Don't believe the bad writing? Just get a load of some of the quoted examples:

“To me, they’re the melody of redemption.”
WTF does that even mean?
“Across the wide scope, [blah, blah, blah] … Where’s the rest of that phrase? Wide scope of what?
“A crank tugs at a hidden coil buried inside of me.” Okay, more WTF.
“… to express my upset.” Grammar, author, grammar.
“What part of the world already has several inches [snow] accumulated?” They’re trying to figure out their location. She lives in Minnesota and can’t imagine snow anywhere else in October? What an idiot. You’re in Canada for Christ’s sake. What’s the dilemma? Head south. Surely you can see the sun.
“A rapid blaze simmers in my belly.” More dumb phrasing.
“Halder’s declaration shoves a heaping spoonful of inadequacy down my throat.” One of many overdone, descriptive metaphors.
“These people must be a pack of ruthless savages.” She works in a prison and is surprised by ruthless behavior.
“Concrete soaks my lids and I struggle to pry them apart.” Terrible writing and imagery.
“… the haze of our ruse will stick.” Is that even a sentence in English?????
“That sexy voyager.” He’s not exactly a voyager. They’re lost. Not traveling or on a cruise ship.
“Capable of hoisting a feminine-sized bundle” He’s lifting her. Just say “woman” for God’s sake and stop overwriting.
“He passes me a bowl packed with glittering snow. ‘You can munch on this as we move along’. You’re not supposed to eat snow, it doesn’t quench thirst. Bad idea.
“the steamy gaze he spills” A gaze does not spill.
“My stomach is a riot of twists and acidic clumps.” First … eewww. Second, acid does not clump. More overwritten imagery.
“With iron in my gut.” More bad, weird imagery.
“A mellow flourish sweeps over me once my feet land on solid ground.” Nonsensical. Overly descriptive phrase.
“The blast of roaring fire in my lower belly is staggering.” Not as staggering as this crap.
“An inferno billows in my veins.” Veins billow with fire? Huh.
“A gloating blush prickles my cheeks.” Didn’t realize cheeks can gloat.
“Tap dancers do a jig in my stomach. I tuck some errant strands of tryst evidence behind my ear.” I’m left speechless by this word mess.
“Confessions struggle for domination while clawing up my windpipe.” I got nothin’.
“With a crippling creak, the canoe rises off the frozen floor.” What’s the sound of a crippling creak?
“Wary gazes locked on our newfound possession and wait for the inevitable results.” Lines are SO overwritten and not even a sentence.

Incomplete phrases. Descriptions that make no sense. Weird metaphors. Her grammar sucks, so how does she have so many highly rated reviews? British slang coming from American characters that stands out like a sore thumb. Bad plotting. A lot of this sounds like LJ Shen. Are they buds? Take a creative writing course, please.

I could list these issues for pages. It comes out that Blakely is 23, but has been a social worker for 5 years at the prison. REALLY !!?? How does one become a trained social worker by the time they are only 18? Blakely substitutes “eff” for “fuck” 4 times like 2 seconds ago, but then has no problem saying the actual word. I’m tapped out.

What book were all those 4 and 5 star reviewers reading? This is honestly the worst writing I’ve encountered in a romance book. I’ll cut the author some slack because this is only one book and she’s SO popular. If any of my GR friends have a better example of her writing, please send me a recc. Otherwise, I’m shelving Harloe Rae until I have reason to read her ever again.

I was left for wild as I got lost in the story of Halder and Blakely. Harloe Rae had me navigating through the smooth and rocky terrain as I got so caught up in Blakely’s optimism and Halder’s swooniness. The author delivered such a unique and entertaining read. This author never fails to surprise me with her couples as they are always so loveable. This is a great read and I highly recommend it to all.

'Left For wild' is a Standalone book by the best selling author Harloe Rae. Told in dual Perspectives, this book was one thrilling tale of survival and love!

I have read books by this author before and just like before she has managed to stun me into silence with her amazing writing skills. I am not one to read thriller and survival Romances , but this one was just too amazing to miss! And what an amazing decision that was.

The story starts with us meeting Halder who is a wrongly accused man spending his last years in prison. That is when he meets a beauty who steals his breath. He doesn't know her name but living those last days in prison just to catch a glimpse of her seemed worth it. Soon he gets out of prison and is now trying to get his life back on track. That is until his old enemies strike again. And it is not just him they have targeted this time.

Blakely was living a simple life. Halder was her forbidden secret. They never actually talked to each other and glances were all they had. That is until her life took a turn for the worst. She woke up beside Halder in the middle of nowhere. The worst thing was that she was the innocent one. But it didn't matter now. He was her only chance at survival.

This book was full of twists and turns and an amazing storyline that kept me at the edge of my seat till the very end and didn't let me go till I turned the last page! A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there who love themes like thrill and adventure in their books!

Talk about a different romance story then the type I’m used to reading!
Wowie!

We meet Halder in prison. He states he is there for a crime he did not commit. Do we believe him??? He’s pretty believable. But who knows until you read this one and find out for yourself. He sees Blakey while in prison. Why is she in prison??? They both can’t stop staring at each other.
5 years after going to prison Halder is released. A week later he wakes up in the snowy wilderness with Blakey.
Oh my goodness!!!!!
How did that happen???
Do they survive it???
How???
I repeat - how did that happen???

You gotta read this one! It’s well written with a good storyline that will keep you wanting to read another chapter. A great story to read while staying home under your own blankets on your own comfy bed.

I've been searching for a good survival/wilderness romance and here it is. This was an entertaining read. I've enjoyed it very much, the writing is good, the suspense is there, the romance as well and the setting is perfect. It might be a bit to insta love for me to be honest, but that aspect didn't took much of me enjoying this.

Halder has spent 5 years in prison after being set up by some baddies. Blakely is a social worker, they have seen echother a few times during the years while she was working, and both have fantasized about one another, but never changed a word.
After Halder is released for good behavior his only thought is to get revenge and to prove his innocence, but his plans are stopped when he is kidnapped and left in the wilderness with no other than the woman he's been dreaming about.

" "We might be stuck in the Canadian wilderness against our will. That’s beyond our control and not a concern at this moment. All that matters is our paths aiming exactly where we’re meant to lead."

Their journey was not an easy one, far from it, but they are determined and strong, more so together.

"Each pulse is thick, suspending us in this eternal void. This could be the moment to end my torment. She’s clinging to the ledge with me. Do we leap or step back? Choosing to be bold or safe has never threatened greater consequence. "

I hate the word moist and rod when you refer to a man's penis. The author used a few times "steely rod" or "moist pout" which set me off a bit( I know I know, but we all have our oddities so don't judge me 🤣🤣🤣) and also when the sex scenes happened it felt like one thrust 1 page of monologue, another thrust another page of monologue depending on which pov the chapter was.

Anyway, as I said, this is a good book for lovers of wilderness and crafty guys.

I was given an ARC in return for my honest review .............

Harloe Rae has done it again. This time with a unique and completely different story than I have ever read from her before. Halder is a man out to redeem himself after years in prison claiming his innocence. While there, he sees Blakely a couple times. The attraction is immediate for these two from just a glance. Now a free man he finds himself in the middle of nowhere with Blakely abandoned with him. This story is about survival and these two face it all head on with Blakely and her positivity and wit that will make you laugh out loud and Halder with his protectiveness and oh so swoon worthy strength and endurance. I loved getting lost with these two.

Okay so I picked up this book on and off.. and I finally finished it. Idk why but it took me forever to read it. It had everything I wanted in a book in the blurb. Suriving in the wildness danger all that but yeah didn't click for me.

Halder is a now release prisoner trying to get his life back on track and has been pinning crushing on Blakely the social worker he's seen at the prison. Now both are drugged and kidnapped being dropped off into the wilderness and left for "dead" now the two need to come together to surive.. Blakely did annoy me sometimes and I couldn't connect with her or her to Halder... I just didn't feel their love or connection.. as for Halder he was a good hero he made sure he was in survival mode did anything to keep himself and Blakely safe.. and when they got back it was still meh.. to me. Ugh I'm so upset I really wanted to like it.

There are honestly no words to express how much I adored this story from Harloe Rae. It was so unique in it’s concept that my mind was blown and I could not put it down once I started. There is raw grit and passion in this book simply because of the situation that they are put in but also this beautiful compassion that some people lack these days that warms your heart and want to put faith in humanity again. My heart ached for Halder and everything he has gone through. But I absolutely adored his determination to fight to clear his name regardless of who he was up against. Blakely has such an amazing heart. Even considering her job, she cares so deeply even when it comes to a man she had only seen in passing.
These two together had such determination that you could not help but fall in love with these two together and root for them. Their connection is deep even though they honestly just met. As they go through the perils of what happened to them, I adored how much they leaned on each other. How much of a connection they created between them. As they battle the elements and their sheer will to live, there is such amazing wit and banter between them that it felt natural. Second nature even. Their passion for each other was beyond sizzling though.
Overall, I am so in love with this story. I absolutely live for this concept because it was so one of a kind that it was pure magic. Utterly spellbinding comes to mind too. Especially after everything that is thrown at them, how their connection is still so intense even with some twists thrown at them. If you are a Harloe Rae fan, you will absolutely adore this one!

Left for Wild was totally unexpected- not my normal romance story fare, and certainly different from the books I’ve read from Harloe Rae before- a story original and bold in its premise. It is an immersive romantic reading experience, both interesting and unusual- one that, to me at least, is an exciting addition to the Harloe Rae catalog, because I love nothing more than seeing an author trying something different and new.

Our story starts out with some smoke and mirrors - lulling you into thinking this book will go one way, when in fact it twists into a totally different place all together. We begin by meeting Halder, a wrongfully imprisoned man who has finally made parole. The only think outside of his quest to prove his innocence that kept him going in his prison stint were the rare sightings of the enthralling Blakely- a social worker that he admires from afar. SO much so that he hopes he’ll see her again- as a social worker- post parole. Little did he know that Blakely was also attracted to him- and that he’ll be seeing her sooner than he expected, only not in the way he anticipated.

One of the things I really appreciate about Harloe Rae is her willingness to innovate- to take creative risks. This story is a creative risk. Sure- survivalist stories are not new to the literary ecosystem, but when it comes to romance novels, they are rare. Not only does it take away the ability to have any external influences serve as conflict (careers, other people, judgement, etc), but it also puts prime pressure on the core relationship, on the romantic chemistry, to shine with very little of the tried and true plot devices to catalyze it- or to add content. Harloe takes two characters with very little history- and she strands them, isolates them. And thus, the only thing driving this story, the only thing keeping us turning the pages becomes the evolution of their relationship- both their connection, and of course, their survival. And all we have to support the story? Their dialogue and the elements. The only conflict or obstacle we have? The wild. THAT is certainly different. It is unusual, interesting, and requires a different kind of writing- a focus, an insulation that leaves little room for error. So that is risky- and I respect it, because for the most part the chemistry was strong enough to shine, even in its isolation. The romance and trust actually develop pretty quickly - both because of who these characters are (they crave worthiness and connection) and in part because they HAVE to, and I found their connection to be sweet but also interesting. It grabs you tight.

For much of this story, this does not read like a romance novel. In part, it is Harloe’s prose- there is a poetic element to the language, and overall the story feels more meta- the introspective and complex nature of the characters internal workings juxtaposes nicely with the straight forward, simple but brutal elements they confront. But, this also reads differently because of the content- harkening to great survivalist bards like Daniel Defoe or Jack London. Like these stories, setting, and more specifically combatting setting- takes a central role. The cold, unpredictable, and unforgiving terrain is a character in and of itself- and Harloe capitalizes on descriptive language and dramatic suspense to really immerse us in their experience. Because I’ve never much loved “surviving the elements” stories, I’ll admit at times there were places where I wanted our story to move faster, where I found myself wanting to disengage- especially when these two aren’t yet exploring their chemistry. That pace, though, seems intentional and strategic- we can’t really believe the threat or danger if we aren’t trapped in it a bit. The back one third was also unexpected- without giving anything away, I was more surprised by what didn’t happen than what did, so much so that I’m still reflecting on my thoughts. The tone, pace, and content of the story shift considerably, in service, I believe, of authenticating some things for us (yes, I’m being vague on purpose)- and this is yet another creative risk on Harloe’s part.

So, while survivalist stories haven’t always been my jam, I can’t help but admire and respect an author for trying something different, and it’s fun to see Harloe replicate some of the magic of her small town romances in a totally different context. An interesting and unusual story, but one that has sparked thought ever since I read it- and that is always a win in my book.

This was my first book by Harloe Rae and she quite surprised me with her outstanding and very descriptive writing style. I could really imagine myself out there in the wild with Blakely and Halder.

The story itself is quite unique which was what drew me to the book in the first place. However, as much fun I had with this book, I had some issues with it that prevents me from giving the book more than 3 stars. According to the blurb I expected something different, at least regarding to how the relationship between Blakely and Halder plays out. In addition to that, I wish for both characters to have a little more depth to them and I had trouble feeling their chemistry. The potential was clearly there, I just think it could have been a little "more".

Nevertheless, this book is quite a story you definitely should give a try. Its unique setting is very refreshing.

This book was not what I was expecting, it was even better. With adventure, intrigue and romance, this book gives you everything. Halder was the perfect hero in this story. Strong, independent, caring and loyal, even after everything he has been through. Blakely is a fun, sassy woman, who sees the good in everyone, and is stronger than she realises. The banter between these two characters was hilarious, and their chemistry was so hot!! I loved this book, and I highly recommend it as a must read.

GAH! This book. It played out like the most beautiful movie in my mind. Left for Wild was so unexpected and unique. I was blown away by just how amazing this book truly was. From the premise of it to just how well Harloe Rae brought it to life was awe-inspiring and left me reeling. So many times throughout I was breathless, often times with wonder at what lies ahead and the other times breathless in fear also at what possibly lies ahead.

This roller coaster of feelings this book has taken me on has left me struggling with the right words to properly do this incredible book justice, while also preserving mystery and not giving away spoilers. But I’m gonna attempt to do my very best. Because these fantastic characters Harloe Rae has crafted, and this unforgettable book deserves it!

I was mesmerized and instantly astounded by the two main characters, Halder and Blakley. The imagination, and creativity that Rae put into perfecting these characters and their unique story is nothing short of pure literary magnificence! She should definitely take a bow like a queen, because I believe this is her best book yet!!

Two phenomenal characters who exchanged a few passing glances between a prisoner and a social worker there doing her job, managed to catch each other’s eye, never knowing the impact it would have on their lives down the road.
Two characters who instantly became my most favorite Harloe’s hero and Harloe’s heroine and here’s why...

Halder Rane...Hello, how hot and sexy is his name y’all?!?! This poor guy, Wrongly accused and thrown in the slammer for a crime he didn’t commit. This guy is sexy, brilliant and has every right to be nasty and jaded to the world that’s wronged him, but is he, no he is not! He just wants it said on record that he is innocent, he wants to move forward with his life. He wants to have sweet dreams about Blakey Cross, the gorgeous social worker he will never have.

He is loyal to those who have shown him loyalty and a friend to those who have shown him friendship. He just melts me every damn time! When his past comes back to haunt him in ways he never could have imagined he must go on a journey of survival to save himself and clear his name, and bring down the bad his once and for all. What he couldn’t prepare for was the girl of his dreams getting caught up in this with him. Now, faced with life or death situations, Halder must not only fight to keep himself alive, but fight to get Blakley back home to her family as well. My heart hurt for this character. But, my heart also beat little flutters of love for him too. He made me laugh, cry, melt, swoon, sweat and swear. He made me fall in love with a scruffy man with dirt underneath his nails and probably BO in the middle of the woods. I hoped and prayed for him to get his redemption, for him to get out and get everything good life had to offer. Because if anyone deserved it, it was Halder Rane.

Blakley is gorgeous and sweet. The eternal optimist that wants to see the good in everyone. I loved her faith in the people that society might have closed the door on, people like Halder. Even when her own family might not like that she was that loving and trusting. She was good down to her soul and deep down she saw that in Halder, she believed that in him, even when he didn’t believe it in himself. She had always noticed Halder even when he was just a prisoner in an orange jumpsuit. After he was released and they ended up in the situation where most of the book takes place, I loved the way she handled it. She could have completely lost her sh*t and probably did for a minute, but she couldn’t deny her draw to him. She was unbelievably attracted to Halder and the more he took care of her, the more that attraction grew. He was super smart, and had outdoorsy skills too. It became clear that his one goal was to get her home, he put her above himself. The swoon factor was real y’all!

With every sense heightened, their chemistry overwhelming, Blakley and Halder must work together to get through everything the wilderness, the elements and their terrifying situation throws their way. Halder and Blakley could lose everything out there in the wilderness, but the biggest danger might be the risk of losing their hearts. You don’t wanna miss this unforgettable, smokin hot story of survival and redemption!

Harloe Rae’s stories just keep getting better and better with each book she releases. I was obsessed with her last release Loner, but I’m pretty sure Left For Wild captivated my attention from the first line and is still holding me hostage even though I’ve finished the book. I stayed up way past my bedtime to find out how Halder and Blakely’s story was going to end. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. At all. Left For Wild is a truly amazing story and is not at all what I expected it to be. Harloe puts the main characters is a totally unexpected and intense situation (that I will not spoil!) that leaves the reader wanting and needing to read more! This story was a refreshing and new take on a romance novel. I felt every emotion possible and I was totally rooting for Halder and Blakely to come out of the situation in one piece and closer than ever. This story is so captivating and intriguing that I was sad when it was over, but so in love with the happily ever after that our hero and heroine so rightly earned and deserved. You will not be disappointed with this amazing read!

Let me just start off by saying that I am complete obsessed with Halder. His is one of my favorites of Harloe’s male characters. He basically swooped in and stole my heart without me even realizing it! When you first meet Halder, he’s jaded, angry, and struggling to cope with his new reality. He doesn’t understand how he managed to get himself in such a life-altering situation. He feels as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel for him. Honestly, this man about broke my heart. He felt so alone in the world and that no one was standing in his corner rooting for him. I felt that deep in my soul. It’s hard to stay positive and upbeat when the world just wants to kick you when you’re down. It’s hard to look at the positives when there really aren’t any in a given situation. Halder doesn’t stay that way the entire story though. He’s put in another really difficult and life-altering situation that forces him to think about how he wants to live his life and what he wants for his future. He can’t keep holding on to so much anger and hate if he wants to live a full and happy life. He needs to let go of his past to begin living in his present and to look forward to his future. Man, I loved Halder so much. He had me swooning so hard throughout this book. He’s got the whole alpha male, nerdy tech, swagger going on. I could not get enough of Halder’s chapters. I loved living inside of his head and learning everything there was to know about him. I still feel like there is so much more I could learn about him. I need more Halder!

I absolutely adore Blakely. She is such a fun and upbeat character. She is the perfect counterpart for Halder’s character. She has such a big and beautiful heart. As a social worker, she has seen people at their worst and people at their best. She encourages and helps people be their best selves even in the most trying of times. Blakely has such an upbeat and positive outlook on life. Many people say she has too soft of a heart and is too gullible, but I don’t think that’s the case at all. Her heart allows her to feel and experience more than most people. She is a genuine person who cares about others. Her character is so refreshing and honest. She’s adorably spunky, sassy, and witty. I love how optimistic she was about the crazy situation she was thrown in with Halder. She never once doubted his abilities to keep her safe. She learned a lot about herself in the crazy situation they were put in. She can do anything she puts her mind to and she is so much stronger than she ever thought. This woman is truly a kind and gentle soul and deserves all the happiness the world has to offer.

Halder and Blakely are a smoldering fire ready to combust! Holy moly. The chemistry between these two characters is off the charts. Honestly, I had to fan myself multiple times throughout this story. They have great physical chemistry, but they also have amazing everything else chemistry. These two connected in such an amazing way. Their banter was on point and hilarious. The angst and heat between them was almost unbearable at points because you just wanted them to pick up the pace! But it was also perfect. Halder and Blakely are perfect balances for one another. Blakely has such a positive and uplifting view on life and the world. She helped Halder open his heart to the possibility of love and that his life is worth so much more than he thought it was. These two started off as strangers that were thrown in an incredibly tough and life-altering situation with one another, but ended with the best possible outcome. I adore these two together. They seem to bring out the best in one another and always try and lift each other up. These two have gone through so much together and I am so happy that they got their happily ever after. Halder and Blakely definitely deserve it.

Overall, I rate this story a 5/5! Left For Wild is such a refreshing and new take on a romance story. There is suspense, intrigue, angst, hot romance, witty banter, and pure and unhindered happiness. I love everything about this story and these characters and I am so sad that it’s over. You will not be disappointed after reading this book. You will definitely want more. I can’t wait to see what Harloe comes up with next!

Harloe Rae delivered an adventurous and totally different kind of romance in Left For Wild. You will get the steam, the sweetness and the intensity. And the romance was balanced with an drama and action filled journey.

Halder has just been released on parole after being in prison for five years for a crime he didn't commit. This is his chance for a fresh start and to prove his innocence. But he is abducted and left in a snow filled deep forest. On waking up, he finds he is not alone. The social worker who often visited his prison and who featured in his fantasies has been left with him. Blakely is equally shocked and terrified but she is also excited to find her dream man with her. So starts a journey of survival in the harshest conditions.

This whole idea of this story was very innovative and I have to say the author executed it nicely. The natural obstacles in cold forest were pretty realistic and believable. It was quite interesting to read how Blakely and Halder partnered to defeat the hurdles. Sometimes they won. Sometimes they lost. And in middle of this adventure, the romance slowly bloomed. They had to trust and depend on each other and so a deep connection formed between them. Halder had the better outdoor skills and I love the calm and calculating and confident ways of this gorgeous man. He holds a lot of anger, bitterness and frustration for his life getting destroyed by flawed legal system. But this time in nature with Blakely made him a new man. Blakely is such a sweetheart. A beautiful, sweet and forgiving soul with endless compassion. She also has admirable courage and strength as she helped Halder with equal determination during their adventure. She wasn't a helpless girl. She embraced his pain and healed him. The chemistry was stunning. The nuclear hot passionate moments in middle of woods and rivers are awesome. The author put every kind of heartaching feels in their relationship. And that ending with the extra surprise was the sweetest.

Expect a rollercoaster ride of adventure and emotions in Left For Wild by Harloe Rae. Unforgettable characters. Breathtaking storyline. Amazing writing.
