Legally Mine (Spitfire Book 2) Kindle Edition
I should be flying high. I’ve graduated from the best law school in the world, and I’m ready to start my career. So why do I feel like I’m holding the world on my shoulders instead of standing on top of it?
Oh, right. Him.
Bad boy. Billionaire. Larger-than-life Brandon Sterling. In a few short months, he became the sun to my universe, only to flip it upside down and inside out, leaving me to make the biggest decision of my life alone.
I don’t want to miss him like I do. I don’t want to love him like I do.
So the question is, when he comes back––if he comes back––will he forgive me for what I’ve done?

Nicole French is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. She's also a hopeless romantic, low-key fashion addict, and total bookworm. When not writing, she is hanging out with her family, playing soccer or going on dates with her husband. In her spare time, she likes to go running or practice the piano but never seems to do either one of these things as much as she should.

There are different elements to a story and although some elements are stronger, they all play important part. Nicole French’s writing makes every part shine. Not only did I become involved in the story, but I was desperate to know how it would play out. I didn’t feel like I was treading water during this second book. I was riding the waves, but there were a few riptides pulling me back. This story was not boring.
The characters were a strong part of the story and I loved the major characters, Skylar and Brandon. I wanted them to have their happy ever-afters, but they also annoyed me. You know the feeling you get when you want to take a character to the side and give them advice? Yeah, that happened on more than one occasion. But there were also characters I hated even though their parts in Skylar’s and Brandon’s story were important.
Did it end on a cliff hanger? Yes, it did but I already had the third book in the series on my kindle ready to go so I wasn’t hyperventilating.

(BTW, I bought all the books in Spitfire Series, the first one was free simply because this series is that good.)
Mostly told from Skylar’s perspective, with a couple from Brandon’s POV to help move the story along, Skylar and Brandon are at a crossroads as they both find their lives moving forward but with challenges coming their way that make a relationship still just as hard. Sub-characters play larger roles within this book in comparison to the first book which focused more on Skylar and Brandon. It’ll be interesting to see what roles these characters play in the conclusion of the story.
I’m not sure if it was just me but I found this book to be sort of more a filler book to move the plot along ready for the final book. I’ll be honest that I got a little bored at times with the pacing and frustrated with the characters in this book as they were a little too contradicting so I’m hoping in the final book I’ll start to love them again as I did in the first book. In terms of writing style, however, this book continued in the well written and edited style of the previous book.
Definitely looking forward to reading the conclusion to this series!

Book 2 of Brandon and Skylar's story does not disappoint. It continues from where the first book ends.
I really liked this book and cannot wait for book 3 (Hurry up September)
This book does end on a cliffhanger.
engaging story and I have grown to love these characters and their journey. I can’t wait to see how it ends.
The were some tough hitting topics explored, which was a bit tough at times to take. Worth the difficulty though, to see how they explore the struggles they are facing.
The characters are AMAZING. The depth of their personalities were awe inspiring and refreshing.
The storyline was strong and realistic. It wasn’t far fetched or over the top, just an honest story that everyone will get something out of.

Hypocritical and immature. I had to remind myself that this was only a book, but I was really just disappointed in her decisions. Real life does happen like this. Hats off to you for your splendid characters and story.
