Help Allman Town Primary School

Allman Town Primary school is situated in one of Kingston’s toughest inner-city communities in Central Kingston. This school caters to 585 impressionable minds from Grades 1-6. Each grade has 3 classes with Grade 4 having 4 classes, with an academic staff comprised of 25 highly trained instructors -- with some even holding Master’s degrees.

In 2010, Allman school entered the School Challenge Quiz competition and placed second in the finals. In 2018, they were 1st time entrants in the F.I.R.S.T LEGO League Competition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, where they earned the Elementary Team Excellence award.

Despite challenges and limited resources, the students at Allman Town Primary continue to do well at the Grade 6 Primary Exit Profile Exam (PEP). Each year, at least 4 students receive scholarships for their performance in this national Examination.

From the Principal of Allman Town Primary:

We would like to raise funds to help supply the school with equipment, games and a coach. This will help to continue their motto "Excellence Through Discipline" by providing their outstanding students and hardworking committed teachers and staff with the necessary resources they need. The funds will cover the expenses of a printer, board games, a mural artist and robotics coach. With the school recently celebrating their 100th anniversary, they are committed to changing the future of Jamaica by shifting the thinking of the current generation, which is what is envisioned for the years to come.

Supporting Jamaican schools and children is crucial for breaking the cycle of poverty, promoting social mobility, and building a stronger society. It's an urgent matter that requires immediate attention to ensure that every child in Jamaica has access to quality education and reach their full potential.
