"Give your heart to a man worthy of the claim."
That’s been his constant excuse for keeping distance between us.
Little does he know that I’m his for the taking.
If only he’d have me.

Nolan Jasper has been my broody neighbor for almost six years.
I’ve been hopelessly infatuated with him just as long.
The bond I have with his little girl only serves to strengthen that hold.

Since they moved in that stormy night, I’ve been trying to restore what was lost.
I would do just about anything for those two.
Acting as Nolan’s reliable doormat is getting old, though.
Especially when he seems incapable of accepting love.

I’m finally willing to admit that man is a lost cause.
Too broken.
Jaded.
Withdrawn.

Nolan Jasper has pushed me away for the last time.
If only he realized it before I’m already gone.

What an amazingly sweet, swoony, and deliciously sexy story- full of unrequited love charms, neighborly attraction, and the right dash of healing and angst. A new favorite from Harloe Rae!

One thing I always love about Harloe’s writing is how she takes a trope and makes it something more- infuses it with an emotional gravitas and sincerity of heart that makes each of her stories feel unique and special. Clea and Nolan’s story begins with the friends to lovers/unrequited love and single parent tint, but this story quickly becomes nothing other than Clea and Nolan’s- a story steeped so deeply in the beating of their hearts that you can’t help but fall along with them.

Nolan is a really compelling hero- a man mired in the complexities of his guilt and grief while trying to find hope in the now, if not for himself than for his daughter Tally. His journey is about balancing his heart and hurt- finding the courage to reach for love, not just for Tally but for himself. And Clea is a delightful heroine- sweet, loving, optimistic, the light to reinvigorate a once broken man. You root for her and her bleeding heart.

I just adore Harloe's writing style- with a lyrical tint, she delivers so much emotional intensity wrapped in beautifully articulated, emotively consuming prose. Her swoony stories are by far my favorites- and this one brings all the sweet sincerity and authentic charm. With likable characters with complex histories and a formidable chemistry between them, we have a story of two people figuring out how to perfectly fall together, to be exactly what the other needs. To fight for the love they can have now. A different journey for each, but one so perfect for them together. It's adorable, it's sexy, and gives me all the happy butterfly feels. There’s Always Someday is a feel good romance that reminds us just how hard, and how easy, healing and falling in love can be- and just how beautiful it is when you find that someday.

Well, Rae ruined me once again. I loved every bit of this story! From the first page, when a twenty-year-old Nolan Jasper and his nine-month-old daughter move in next door to Clea and her brother Kody, and they offer to help him get settled. Then we skip forward six years, and Clea has become an integral part of Nolan and Tallulah's lives. To the point that Clea is doing a lot more of the parenting than Nolan.

Nolan has some pretty fierce demons he battles on a daily basis, and it's caused him to lock his heart up tight and simply go through the motions of living. A come-to-Jesus talk with Clea seems to wake him up, but he still can’t shake the past that keeps dogging his heels.

Now, our girl Clea, she is really something. She has a lot more patience (i.e. six years of unrequited love) than I would, but even a saint can finally reach her breaking point. Of course Clea loves Talullah with every bit of her heart, but she's done waiting for Nolan to wake up and get a clue. And sadly, sometimes it takes losing something you took for granted to finally realize what was always within your grasp.

I give this a ten out of ten on the angstaholic scale because, holy carp, what an emotional ride this is! All those things you love about a good roller coaster ride – the climbs, the plummets, the sudden turns, the loops -- that's what this story will do with your emotions. You'll have no choice but to adore these characters and will gladly hand over your heart to them. Run to the 1-Click then dive right into this compelling, phenomenal, unforgettable story. You’re about to be left breathless, and you'll love every second of the ride!

Clea met Nolan and Baby Tally six years ago when they moved in next door and she was instantly attracted to him. The past year Nolan has been even more withdrawn and taking care of Tally who is now six is falling on Clea. She feels he is taking advantage of her and heart so she decides to stop helping him. Nolan realizes quickly that he has messed up. Can he win her back for Tally and himself? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. This book has all the feels and wow on the spice.

DNF @ 15% | I love the single dad trope, but not when said dad is a deadbeat father.

So from what I could read, this single father and his 9 month old baby came to live in a new place, the neighbor (younger than him) introduced herself to them and offered her help, he warned her that he would take advantage of that offer. And he did.

Six years later, she's still infatuated with him, offering free daycare and basically raising this man's daughter by herself. Why is she putting up with all this, and for so many years? That's what I can't understand, but frankly the story lost its appeal to me that quickly.

The man obviously has a secret that involves his daughter and that's why he decided to withdraw to his job instead, but the fact that his daughter doesn't have clean clothes to wear because he forgot to do the laundry, the fact that he doesn't even know what his daughter prefers to be called, or her favorite breakfast, but he does remember how to be aroused every time his neighbor is around, the same woman who is carrying all the weight of being a mother to a girl who is not hers, says enough. he's a sad excuse for a man and I'm not interested in this kind of hero.

An emotional love story of an unrequited crush that turns the tables and becomes his fight for her forever love. All the SWOON and memorable moments you expect from the author packaged up beautifully in this friends to lovers romance.

Clea has been crushing on her hot, single dad, neighbor since the day he moved in. Tally, his adorable daughter, was easy to love and quickly became a part of her everyday life. However, her father kept his distance. She pined from afar for years until she decided enough was enough.

Nolan has been torturing himself for years. His neighbor is beautiful and takes great care of his daughter, but he refuses to cross that line. He doesn't think he deserves to grab onto that happiness.

When Clea finally decides she's had enough of the wanting and waiting, she decides to let herself move on. Sometimes you have to lose something to finally realize what you had. Nolan just got his wake up call and now he's going to have to fight for a Happily Ever After with the only woman he wants to spend it with.

The author knows how to deliver a sweet romance with heat and love. This couple was so easy to fall for and Tally will steal the spotlight at times. Her dad is lonely and broody, but he has his reasons. He'll have to figure out whether he wants to continue in his misery or embrace the love that Clea offers. She's gonna make him work for it, but our man Nolan will deliver in spades.

Such a feel good romance that will brings smiles and a happy heart. Enjoy it!

A Kindle Unlimited offering that was just an ok read for me. I had a hard time getting into the story and the characters -- except for the sassy little Tallulah. That child had more common sense than both adults together. She simply sparkled with sass and wit. Otherwise, the story was sort of blah and not much to motivate the turn of pages. Just didn't seem to go anywhere.

The book also needed a final proofing. There were so many easy-to-remedy errors.

DNF: I got about 100 pages into this on release day, set it down, and promptly forgot about it. I just don't find the hero appealing AT ALL - he's taken advantage of the heroine's kindness for years and become a deadbeat father. I like the uniqueness of the storyline and the double "unrequited" love scenario is interesting, but I'm struggling with this. The premise sounded cute in the blurb, but in reality it's not cool. I'll leave you with a quote about the hero's daughter:

Her long hair is a blanket of tangles. Dirt smudges decorate her freckled cheeks. It’s obvious she dressed herself, if the clashing colors and patterns are anything to go from. I’m pretty sure her shirt is a swimsuit. This kid is resourceful, not to mention resilient.

I stroke a palm down her arm. A sticky residue clings to her skin in several places. Is that gum, or pure sugar? Not that it matters. She’s a mess. An adorable one, without a single doubt, but a germaphobe’s worst nightmare all the same.

“Did you ask him to hang out?”

Her huff is forceful enough to give me a whiff of her breath. Someone forgot to brush this morning. “I tried talking to him, but he didn’t listen. He just did that stupid grunting noise and waved me away.”

I'm not going to star this one as it's a DNF. If I read any further than I have, I'm just going to get annoyed. We have a self-absorbed single father who puts his own emo ahead of his cute little daughter and a young woman who has taken care of cute little girl for literally nothing and has waited SIX years for self-absorbed single father to notice her. He has of course, but in his mind, to quote Wayne and Garth, he's not worthy.

From the beginning I don't like either of these two and I'm not going to keep going to see if I warm up to them. I have too many other books I want to read. Or nails to do. Or hair to wash.

I received an arc for a honest review.

4.5 Stars. You guys know me. I LOVE a single parent book. And when Harloe said she's writing one, I IMMEDIATELY KNEW I NEEDED IT!!! It's an unrequited love, single parent book, and I am all here for it.

The night Clea saw Nolan and his baby girl, Tally, moved in next door, she's helped him watch her. She was attracted to Nolan, but she was totally invisible to him. She took care of Tally for him and have a really sweet bond with her. Six years later, she was done waiting for him. And I have to say, when Nolan finally realized what he was missing, I was so happy. Lol. I'm glad Clea didn't made it easy for him, but I kid you not, I swooned right and left. Tally was the cutest girl ever. She doesn't give them any privacy and that cracks me up. The things that come out of her mouth was just funny and so many times heart touching. A very smart girl for her age.

I've loved Ask Me Why for the longest time. It was my favorite, and I have to say There's Always Someday have just become my favorite.

Guter Anfang, aber dann kam der Stillstand.

• single dad romance
• friends to lovers-kind of

I‘m underwhelmed!

I'm a sucker for a romance with well-written kids, and Harloe Rae is my go-to.
For me, they add a whole other dynamic to the characters and stories and I am here for it. You can tell so much about a person in the way they interact with children. And Nolan's relationship with Tally... well, it's no wonder Clea falls head over feet; and I fell right along with her.
Like any clueless man, Nolan comes close to missing out on the best thing to ever happen to him due to his inability to see/appreciate what's right in front of his face. But don't worry, Harloe makes him grovel and earn that HEA.
Deliciously addicting and heartwarming, There's Always Someday is one you don't want to miss!

Dnf 8% - I’m not interested in reading about a “hero” who is more concerned about his lustful feelings for his neighbor than the fact that he’s a shitastic father. I haven’t even made it to chapter 3 and he’s already one of the worst heroes I’ve ever come across. I’m a bit perplexed on why one would make their main character a deadbeat dad. From the sounds of it, he’s always been a crappy father and he knows it. It also doesn’t seem like he wants to be a better father for his daughter but to impress his neighbor. This guy is seriously awful.

DNF at 63% (and that was hard to get to) I couldn’t bring myself to finish this book. I really wanted to love it but it fell short for me in a lot of ways. The writing and dialogue wasn’t my cup of tea. It lacked the quality that I need to be able to stay connected to the story. Despite a 6 year period of “friendship” (?) and assumed unrequited longing by the heroine, I felt no real connection between her and the hero. The storyline and dialogue felt a little ridiculous and a lot inauthentic. I felt like the author was trying to make the book into something that it wasn’t. I’m sad I couldn’t enjoy this book because it was my first back reading after a massive slump. The extra star is because it caught my attention enough to make me pick up my kindle out of the drawer after 3 months. You win some, you lose some though!

6 years ago Nolan and Tallulah moved next to Clea and her brother Kody. Nolan was a newly single dad and warned Clea he'd take her up on her offer to help, and damn did he take her up on it, took advantage in fact. And now she's finally had enough of being invisible, of being the one raising the little girl she's come to love. Tallulah's father has checked out of his daughter's life and given up. And he doesn't even notice Clea. So she's done. Now the ball is in his court. Does he take his head out of his ass and go get both his girls? Or does he continue to be a dumbass and lose Clea?

Damnnn but the angst was high in this one! Nolan had his head buried so far in the sand it wasn't even funny. And Clea had finally had enough of being a doormat. I wanted to smack both of them, honestly. Thank God for sassy, funny Tallulah, because she brought the fun and the sunshine to this story. I still enjoyed reading, because I had to know how Nolan was going to get Clea back, had to know how he'd redeem himself. He did it sweetly, and with lots of groveling. Their chemistry was hot, they both did some growing, and Tallulah made everything better.

4.3 ⭐️

Harloe Rae is the queen when it comes to writing a beautiful, sexy, heart pounding love story!

Nolan and Cleo are most definitely characters you need to know more about! Nolan has his heart on a shelf, no one is allowed to touch it. But 6 years ago Cleo truly had love at first sight, becoming an all consuming one sided love affair. Little did she know things were about to change drastically!

This slow burn, delicious, “69 shades of sexy” romance is exactly what you need!

Top this off with a sweet little girl, Tally and good lord your are hooked!

The ups and downs, longing for love and acceptance will have you turning the page so quickly to see what happens next!

I thought that this was a great read. The writing is very well done here and the story is moving and engaging. If you are anything like me: you can expect your emotions to get a workout. Sure the feels and swoon are strong and plentiful but I also felt some poignancy, frustration and ire as I read this book. Oh yeah, let's not forget laughs because you'll get a lot of those too. I liked Clea and Nolan and II sympathized with them fairly easily. That does not mean that I didn't find some of their actions annoying because I did. Still, they were very cute and sweet together and I thought they made a great couple. Honestly, for me, the real scene and heart stealer was Tallulah. Precious and precocious, this darling little girl is sure to have you cracking up again and again. If you enjoy a romance that has some angst to it, an abundance of emotions, tons of heart and offers a delightful balance between meaningful and entertaining, this book is just what you are looking for. This is my objective, elective review.

3 1/2 stars.

I'm struggling with how to review this book. While I enjoyed it, I feel that some part of it were quite unrealistic and OTT. I'm a sucker for a single dad book; it's one of my favorite tropes. Nolan was a single dad at 21, trying to grow up along with his baby daughter. He was kind of neglectful to his daughter; I didn't love that part of the story, and it's just a small part. But he took a lot of advantage of the heroine, Clea, and kind of used her. I didn't love that part. He wouldn't allow himself to be with her until she moved out and left him on his own. Then he was like "wow, I love this girl" and I need her.

I really liked Clea. She was a good character. And the daughter, Tally, was just adorable. This was a pretty good story. I would recommend it.

There’s Always Someday by Harloe is phenomenal. An emotional and heartfelt book with characters that will grab you from the very beginning.

I’m completely obsessed with single parent romance and super cute kids. Throw in a little unrequited love and I’m a goner. Kudos Harloe Rae for hitting me right in the feels once again! Nolan and Clea’s romance certainly hit the spot!

Maybe this is me being harsh but a single dad trope isnt a single dad trope if said dad is a deadbeat dad. And his emotional absence has been going on for years. Are we supposed to feel bad? Pathetic. He only begins to change to win over Clea. That shouldnt be the catalyst for being a bad father. We never see him genuinely put in the effort with Lulah without Clea's help. It was so very annoying that he needed so much hand holding that is your child? Beyond that this story doesnt have a plot its just empty promises and sex scenes.

The one and only star is for my child Talulah she is the real victim in all of this
