A couple perfect for each other

The Love Trap is a highly emotional book. I wanted to reach in and give the characters a big hug or a slap on the face depending on their actions. I enjoyed this book and the series as a whole. Five stars for a well-written series with plenty of emotion and substance.

The Love Trap has a heavier feel compared with the previous books in the series. Both characters, Eric and Jane, seem to go through a rollercoaster of emotion, but Jane's character especially so. Jane is so outwardly confident and vibrant in the beginning. Eric continues to strive for their combined happiness against the odds. This fight till the end attitude Eric has was my favourite aspect of this story. As the book progresses, Jane spirals to the lowest of lows. I felt her desperation and anguish. These characters have changed greatly over the course of the series. I enjoyed their evolution.

There are quite a few "flashbacks" which, although somewhat insightful, slowed down the pace of the story in my opinion. The emotional intensity in the middle of this instalment was off the charts. I felt that I needed some relief to the anguish and frustration, much like the characters probably did. Thankfully, lighter and humorous moments were weaved into the final third to alleviate the dark.

The Love Trap is the final instalment of the Quicksilver series by Nicole French. This novel follows on from the events in previous books; The Hate Vow and The Kiss Plot. You MUST start with book one and read in order.

The Love Trap by Nicole French is the third and concluding book in her Quicksilver series. Picking up where book two, The Kiss Plot, left us hanging we immediately dive back in to the story of Eric and Jane de Vries and the twisted world of the secret society that is trying to ruin their lives if not end them. Well-written and well-paced this book will neatly wrap up unanswered questions and cleverly (and heartbreakingly) find these two finally living their happily ever after. But it is definitely a hard won happy ending so prepare yourself. Get some tissues. Have some comfort food on hand. And go forth. Enjoy!

Wow. I just want to be a pretty girl! The emotions that Nicole brings to this book is so relatable and brings you on a rolla coaster ride. You think you know how it's going to end? Think again! The Love Trap was a perfect ending to the trilogy. Not a typical romance with a twist and turn. A pure guilty pleasure to read.

SPOILERS - This was a fantastic ending to this series. The past excerpts were interesting way to see how Eric and Jane first meet and how they fell apart at the beginning. The bits and pieces Eric was remembering about his father and mother was sweet. I loved the ending and how Eric finally was two steps ahead of Carson. I always loved Eric and Jane in the previous series and it was good to see their journey along the way.

The story just draws you.in and keeps bashing you with the emotions as you go through the stories from the love hate love of the main characters that gives you whiplash to the realisation that this is how they love to the real hate for the bad guys that take you down the deep dark paths of humanity worst attributes and the pain it inflicts on others to take them to the darkest of places in the fight with one's own punishing mind because of those pains inflicted onto them by the lowest of the low. Be warned this has triggers in it that maybe too much for some but although there it's written so well that your heart will both break and heal as the character deals with them.

Oh my goodness. I am exhausted. I have been binge reading all week long folks. If I could have I would have just not slept. I was reading late last night until my eyes were crossing. I did not want to put this book down. What a finish. The characters are moving along in an almost meandering way. There have been some tragic events that made me cry. Some of the characters made me cringe and I found myself actually afraid for our couple. It made me afraid for some of the folks close to our couple. Our couple is still being tested but in ways different from books one and two. How As Nicole made all of this work was writing at its best folks. This was a story for the ages. When it was all said and done I felt as if I needed to sleep for days. I also knew that this family would never be the same again. I also knew that changes would happen so we would have another series featuring one of the mysteries. Loved that. I loved how our couple grew even closer together and found a new path for each of them. If I could have had one wish it would be to know what happened with our couple in to distant future. Perhaps we will have a little window with the next series. As I am not familiar with her work I am not sure if she incorporates familiar characters into her crossover work. I sure hope so. I also loved that the author made this work available in paperback. Many thanks. I also loved that she provided a little bonus epilogue. Amazingly magical work Nicole.
