Hurricane Relief Providence Island Colombia

Hello Family, Friends and Community, 

I am writing this message with a heavy heart. On November 16th 2020, my dearest family and friends in Providence, Santa Catalina and San Andres were hit by the most catastrophic hurricane we have ever seen in this region. Iota gained strength as the hours passed and reached a Category 5 level of intensity, with the eye of the hurricane traveling directly above the islands. 

We have had no communication with anyone from Providence or Santa Catalina since it hit on Sunday night. The president of Colombia has announced that 98% of the island has been destroyed/damaged. We know there is 1 confirmed death and that most of the houses are not livable as of now. We have no idea the safety/condition of anyone on the islands. Medical personnel have been sent out as of Monday evening, but the number of injuries is unknown. 

I am asking for any family, friends or community members, if you are able, to please donate anything you can, no amount is too little. I will be allocating funds directly to my large family to provide funds for basic necessities (i.e. food, water, clothing, etc) and for repairs/rebuilding of their homes. Every penny of these donations will go towards the rebuilding and restoration of their livelihood. 

I appreciate immensely the support and kind words I have been receiving from my community. I am trying my best to do everything in my power to aid my fellow islanders to the best of my ability.
