This is an interesting story. I don’t often read about bad girls. Usually it’s “boy” attached to the “bad” adjective, so Gen’s character was refreshing. I really liked both her and Evan trying to be better versions of themselves after all their history and drama.

Intense and enjoyable! Former sweethearts Gen and Evan bring out the best and worst in each other. After a year apart, Gen doesn’t want to fall back into their old routines. Can Evan convince her he’s ready to be the responsible man she needs? Gen is working to get her life on track, and Evan is a temptation. At first, he’s too hurt by the way she left him to understand her perspective. They have a lot of work to do to get a satisfying HEA. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.

Who doesn’t love a good second chance romance? This one is a doozy where she ghosted him a year ago and is back in town due to a death in the family. These two most definitely have all the sparks and attraction, they’ve had it since they were young, and it isn’t their issue at all. Bad girl and bad boy used to fit together so perfectly, but now it is time to grow up. Understanding this is the first step, but getting there isn’t easy. Taking it slow, but not committing, is the way to figure things out. Elements of your past always seem to follow you though, and getting past those is not as easy as it seems. Loved these two and their struggles as they overcame them, and loved their story!
