Heart and Hands
Richard Underwood
Richard served in full-time ministry for many years, pastoring two churches in East Anglia (including in Soham at the time of the tragic murders there), before serving as General Secretary of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) between 2004-2010. After that he pursued his passion for ‘pastoring pastors’ within the FIEC and beyond, being drawn upon by many for his wisdom and experience. I’ve known Richard for several years now, and have really appreciated his huge heart for God’s people. I’ve asked him to share some of the biggest lessons he’s learned over the years, and I know that as he does so we will be stirred and envisioned to play our own part in caring for God’s people.
Saturday 19th November
Harvestime
Arne Skagen
Arne is a friend and colleague who has made a huge contribution to the life and growth of our church over many years. He is an evangelist who inspires and equips believers to reach out to others in the power of the Spirit. I’ve asked Arne to refresh us in our understanding of mission and evangelism and to help all of us see more fruit in our relationships with unsaved family and friends.
Saturday 11th February
Vision and Destiny
Keri Jones
Keri has been known and loved by so many for many years! Alongside his brother Bryn and other apostolic and prophetic ministries, he pioneered a vision of God’s Kingdom that changed the face of church-life in the UK and elsewhere from the 1970s onwards. Keri provided apostolic oversight and direction to the elders and people of LRC until 2018 and remains a father in faith to myself and many others. In this unique and highly significant session Keri will share with us his reflections on the past and his pointers for us into the future, considering: What do we stand for? How can we shape our lives around our vision and convictions? What does it mean to see a restored church? How can we lay hold of our inheritance and our destiny?… Quite simply, I believe this session will be one of the most important couple of hours for us as a church this year!
