Pitt Announces Non-Conference Women’s Basketball Slate

PITTSBURGH – On Friday afternoon, the Pitt women's basketball team announced its non-conference schedule for 2023-24 campaign. The 13-game slate features seven contests at the Petersen Events Center.

The new look Panthers begin the 2023-24 campaign with back-to-back home games as they welcome Yale to the Pete on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Pitt will then welcome rival West Virginia for the 47th edition of the Backyard Brawl on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Pitt will then hit the road for their first road game of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 15 as they take on George Mason. The Panthers return to Pittsburgh for the 41st edition of the City Game against the Duquesne Dukes on Saturday, Nov. 18. Pitt owns the 23-17 edge in the all-time series against the Dukes.

The Panthers play host to Coppin State on Tuesday, Nov. 21 before heading to the Sunshine State for the 2023 Daytona Beach Invitational from Nov. 24-25. Pitt will play a pair of contests over the Thanksgiving holiday with opponents and times to be announced later this month.

After the Thanksgiving tournament, Pitt will return home for three straight home games starting Thursday, Nov. 29 as they welcome in-state opponent Saint Francis (PA) to the Petersen Events Center. Pitt will then battle Binghamton (Dec. 3) and Lehigh (Dec. 10) at home before hitting the road again.

The road non-conference slate wraps up with a pair of neutral site games at the Sun Coast Challenge in Tampa, FL on Dec. 19-20. Opponents and times will be announced at a later date.

Pitt concludes their non-conference portion of games right after Christmas break with a home contest against Le Moyne on Thursday, Dec. 28.

The Panthers' full 2023-24 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
