Because we are passionate about the work we do with youth, we make sure the “Gen Z” and “Millennials” have access to the platforms for them to Discover their purpose, Transform their mindsets and Connect to their future. Why We Target Gen Z and Millennials: For 30+ years we’ve worked with diverse populations in more than 35 countries. For several years we’ve been studying and focusing our attention on “Gen Z and Millennials.” Generation Z, as they have been coined, consist of those born in 1995 or later. This generation makes up 26% of the United States population, the largest percentage, and contribute $44 billion to the American economy. Generation Z desires more independent work environments. 72% of teens say they want to start a business someday. A “Millennial” is a person reaching young adulthood around the year 2000. Millennials were considered the first “global” generation with the development of the internet. They have higher attention span than Gen Z students. The Millennial generation, born between 1982 and 2002, now have some 81 million children who have taken over K-12 and have already entered college and the workforce. Why Entrepreneurship and Innovation?: The promotion of entrepreneurship can help in addressing youth unemployment around the world. The private sector is the main driver in the fight against poverty, providing 9 in 10 jobs. By integrating youth into competitive creative industries, employment and business opportunities can be created. Innovative young entrepreneurs can create businesses in rural and urban communities by tapping into the local resources to develop opportunities, thus transforming traditional thinking into entrepreneurial mindsets.
