PITTSBURGH - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2023-24 league-wide women's basketball schedule Tuesday night on the Nothing But Net Show on the ACC Network. The Panthers' 18-game conference slate will feature nine home games at the Petersen Events Center including five against teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament a season ago.
The first ACC game for first-year head coach Tory Verdi comes on the road on New Year's Eve as the Panthers travel to Blacksburg to take on 2023 Final Four participant Virginia Tech. Last year in the matchup in Pittsburgh, the Hokies pulled away late to secure the 69-62 victory over the Panthers.
Pitt opens the month of January with three straight home games as they welcome Notre Dame (Thursday, Jan. 4), Georgia Tech (Sunday, Jan. 7) and Louisville (Thursday, Jan. 11) to the Petersen Events Center. Pitt will then head to Boston College (Sunday, Jan. 14) before returning home to play host to Syracuse (Sunday, Jan. 21). Pitt closes out the month on the road against Virginia (Thursday, Jan. 25) and Louisville (Sunday, Jan. 28).
The Panthers open the month of February with five straight games against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago. Pitt will play host to Duke (Thursday, Feb. 1) before heading to South Bend to battle Notre Dame (Sunday, Feb. 4). The Panthers welcome Florida State (Thursday, Feb. 8) and NC State (Sunday, Feb. 11) before heading to Chapel Hill to battle North Carolina (Thursday, Feb. 15).
Pitt closes out February with three of four on the road as they take on Clemson (Sunday, Feb. 18), Syracuse (Sunday, Feb. 25) and Miami (Thursday, Feb. 29). The final two home games in the ACC schedule will be against Wake Forest (Thursday, Feb. 22) and Boston College (Sunday, Mar. 3).
The 2024 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament will be held Mar. 6-10 in Greensboro, NC at the Greensboro Coliseum for the 24th time in the past 25 seasons.
